The Author of Both Wearing Black Masks, Reproached by Bulleh Shah.
Remove duality and do away with all disputes; The Hindus and Muslims are not other than He. Deem everyone virtuous, there are no thieves. For, within every body He himself resides. How the Trickster has put on a mask!
"Do away with all disputes"? We should burn the Torah and Talmud then, I suppose. I would love to know what it means for trickster to put on a mask, though...
Hmmm... picture a circle that depicts a psychological "cycle." Arrows going counterclockwise, starting at a point at the bottom of the circle... as we set out, we move from 6 o'clock to 3 o'clock and up to 12, then down to 9 o'clock and finally back to 6 o'clock.
Judaism, with all of its disputes, seems to me to be a way to go out on the circle--even to the point of feeling lost--and finally return to the starting point.
On the other hand, non-dualism and Zen and Sufism seem to be ways of not even bothering with the setting out and getting lost part.

Two ways of being at 6 O'clock.
